Research in the Department of Chemistry is cutting-edge, innovative, collaborative and interdisciplinary by nature. Faculty, postdoctoral scholars, graduate students and undergraduate students all contribute to the rich research environment. The research conducted in our department covers the entire breadth of chemistry, from the conception of new molecules, polymers and materials via their synthesis and characterization as well as the modelling and prediction of their properties. Our laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art research equipment. Numerous scientific and industrial collaborations at both national and international level testify to the quality and the dynamics of our researchers and hence our teaching.
