Ruggi Group

Albert Ruggi achieved his M. Sc. in Organic chemistry (cum laude) at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. In 2011 he obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of Twente (The Netherlands) where he worked under the supervision of Prof. David N. Reinhoudt and Prof. Aldrik H. Velders on the design of transition metal complexes with tailored optical properties. He then moved to the EPFL (Switzerland) where he worked as Post-doc in the group of Prof. Kay Severin. Since 2013 he has been appointed as Maître-assistant at the University of Fribourg where he started his independent research focused on the realization of systems for artificial photosynthesis.
