Consultancy

As well as formulating legal opinions, the IFF also works for the public administration in an advisory capacity.

This includes serving as an academic advisor during the drafting of constitutional and administrative legislation, as well as advising on the organisation of intermunicipal and intercantonal cooperation.

The IFF also advises research and government partners from other countries who are interested in the particularities of the Swiss federal state and who would like to draw on Swiss solutions or the findings of a comparative law analysis for their own legislative projects.

The IFF charges for its consultancy work and each assignment is subject to a written agreement. The hourly consultancy rate varies depending on the type of work and personnel involved.

IFF sponsors and partners from developing and transitions countries benefit from preferential rates.
