Metropolitan Nikodim (Rotov) was born 90 years ago.
Prof. Andrej Danilov from our partner institute in Minsk and Patriarch Kirill of Moscow honor Metropolitan Nikodim who was born in 1929 and died in Rome in 1978 in the arms of Pope John Paul I.
Prof. Danilov draws on the diary notes of Prelate Dr. Albert Rauch, Director of the Ostkirchliches Institut Regensburg, who experienced the steps taken by Metropolitan Nikodim to intensify cooperation with the Catholic Church.
Patriarch Kirill honors Metropolitan Nikodim as his teacher.
