The IBL develops GDPR verbatim

Last week, the IBL and leading actors in the artifficial intelligence compliance field agreed to develop jointly a verbatim for the EU's General Data Privacy Regulation. IBL researchers will co-operate with artificial intelligence specialists to develop a computer intelligible version of the GDPR that will allow economic actors to manage their GDPR compliance at significant lesser costs through AI tools.

"This is a very important step for our Institute allowing us to blend legal knowledge with cutting edge technology" said Dr. Aladar Sebeni, executive director of the Institute.

The GDPR will enter into force on 25 May 2018. It imposes strict requirements for the processing of personal data on companies worldwide and sets severe sanctions in case of non-compliance. The development of automated tools allowing companies to check their compliance will become a key factor for their success.
