Study Centre for Faith and Society

In 2014 the "Study Center for Faith and Society" at the ISO was founded under the direction of Pastor Dr. Walter Dürr. The initiative was based on the Reformed "National Church Community jahu", which is represented at the Faculty by a larger number of students, combined with a growing interest of Evangelical and free church-oriented persons in the study of theology in Catholic theology in Fribourg. The Study Centre for Faith and Society promotes intra-Protestant ecumenism and cooperates with church renewal movements. It is financed by third-party funds and in the course of its existence has already gained a nationwide and international reputation, not least through the annual "Study Days on Church and Social Renewal" with hundreds of participants from all Christian traditions, each June at the University of Fribourg:
