Postdoctoral study carried out by Dr. Adam Marszk on exchange-traded funds (ETFs) from an ethical point of view (October 2021-September 2022)


Since the beginning of October, thanks to a grant of excellence from Poland, a postdoctoral research is underway within the chair. It is being carried out by Dr. Adam Marszk under the supervision of professor Paul H. Dembinski, the chair’s holder. The project deals with exchange-traded funds (ETFs) from an ethical point of view.

Adam Marszk holds a PhD in Economics, completed at Gdansk University of Technology (2014). He also holds bachelor (2009) and master (2011) degrees in finance and accounting from Warsaw School of Economics, completed with excellent grade.

SInce 2013, Dr. Adam Marszk has been assistant professor at the Faculty of Management and Economics, Gdansk University of Technology (Poland). He has authored and reviewed many publications in local and international journals focusing on financial innovations, linkages between financial markets and economy, financial systems in developing economies, economic integration, and portfolio management.

Within his research activity, he has served as coordinator and investigator in research projects financed by national and international institutions. He has also received many awards:  2015 Jan Uphagen’s Award for the Best Young Scientists, 2017 START scholarship of the Foundation for Polish Science, as well as a distinction award from the Gdansk department of the Polish Academy of Sciences in 2019.

Since 2017 he is also CFA charterholder and member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society Poland.
