    Description

    This course offers a comprehensive overview of sleep assessment methods, with a special emphasis on their application in research with children and their brain in the process of development. Students will be exposed to various sleep assessment techniques, including EEG, actimetry, diary, and hands-on experiences. The course will guide students through the essential steps of designing an experiment, including literature research, formulating hypotheses, and selecting a study design and methodology. Additionally, the course touches on the functions of sleep and its connection to the gut microbiome. By the end of the course, students will have the skills to conduct self-experiments, review scientific literature, and evaluate and interpret data.

    Presence for all three blocks is mandatory.
