    Overview:

    The course comprises the following chapters:

    1. Introduction: What is rational behavior and how can we assess whether human behavior is rational?

    2. Biases in causality and contingency judgments;

    3. Memory judgments and memory errors;

    4. Probability judgments and probabilistic reasoning;

    5. Paradoxes and biases in human decision making.

    Training objectives

     

    Learning objectives:

    The course has three main goals:

    1. Presentation of the most important phenomena;

    2. Explication of cognitive mechanisms underlying the biases and errors;

    3. Helping people to avoid cognitive biases.
