    Description

    Evidence based practice and understanding of psychological issues are grounded empirical science. As such, the purpose of this workshop is to enhance the critical thinking, professional writing, and oral presentation skills of participants as they relate to research methods in psychology. Participants will:

    • Learn to articulate an outline for a research proposal that includes:
      1. stating a topic of interest,
      2. developing a rationale for a study, and
      3. formulating an empirically refutable statement of the problem.
    • Be introduced to the scientific publication and presentation process.
