General
- The minimal delay between starting up and shutting down the microscope is ~15 minutes! You also need to wait ~15 minutes before starting again after shut down.
- If somebody uses the microscope after you, follow the standby protocol
- Do not use your home folder (c:\users\<you login>) to save acquired data. Use D:\User Data\ for image data. Beware that this is merely a buffer and no place to store data for longterm. We clean image data regularly (to keep the backup to a reasonable size).
Use \\home\<your login> which is mounted as drive U:\ for data you want to keep or put it on your external hard drive.
Start Protocol

- turn on the microscope controller (under the microscope table)
- switch on the Scanner Power button
- switch on the Laser Power button (turns on the laser fan)
- turn on the laser key
- on the computer open your session with your UNIFR login and password
