The aim of the AGEF (General Student Association of Fribourg University) is to defend student interests within the University. The AGEF also sells 1-day CFF (Swiss Federal Railways) travel passes, rents out minibuses at advantageous rates, runs a job and accommodation service and, last but not least, sells second-hand computers.

There are libraries at various University sites. For your literature searches you will be using the ‘BCU-Centrale’ (the Canton and University Library) and the libraries of the various faculties.

Restaurants (mensa)

The word used for each of the three University restaurants is “Mensa”. They are situated at the University sites of Miséricorde, Pérolles and Regina Mundi. At lunchtime there are two daily set menus and a vegetarian buffet. To help you choose, you can look up the menus for the week on-line.
