  • Equivalents for TCF pour le Québec and TCF pour l'accès à la nationalité française

The Language Centre of the University of Fribourg only offers the Tout public option of the TCF. However, equivalents exist for the options TCF Québec and TCF pour l’accès à la nationalité française.

Equivalents for TCF pour le Québec

The Québec government accepts the Tout public option of the TCF with the Speaking component for immigration applications.  At the current time, there is no officially required exit level for these exams. Le Québec government evaluates an immigration candidate’s language level (and remaining application) according to a grid of criteria.

Equivalents for TCF pour l’accès à la nationalité française

The French government accepts the Tout public option of the TCF with the Speaking component for French citizenship applications, with two requirements:

    • for Listening, at least 300 points (level B1) are required
    • for Speaking, at least 6 out of 20 points (level B1) are required

As proof of language ability, candidates can also provide DELF B1, DELF B2, DALF C1 oder DALF C2 language exam certificates.
