RIPE@2020 Conference
RIPE@2020 will become RIPE@2021
Unfortunately we need to postpone the conference due to COVID-19. New dates will be announced early in 2021. To bridge the time until RIPE@2021, a short online event is planned around the original conference dates. Stay tuned!
The RIPE@2020 Conference on the theme of “Public Service Media’s Contribution to Society” is jointly organized by the University of Fribourg’s Department of Communication and Media Research (DCM) and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). It will take place on October 28-30, 2020, in Geneva (Switzerland).
The conference will bring together scholars and public service media professionals from all over the world to critically discuss the concept of “contribution to society”. Working groups will focus on communication needs of changing societies, new forms of contribution and distinctiveness, involving citizens and building communities, as well as governance, communication and legitimacy management. The conference will also offer an opportunity for celebrating RIPE’s legacy and the 70th anniversary of the EBU.
