Cinzia Del Giovane
Dr. Cinzia Del Giovane, PhD in Statistics Methodology for Scientific Research, is a biostatistician working as Senior lecturer in biostatistics at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. She has expertise in the entire process of developing systematic reviews, performing meta-analyses and, in particular, network meta-analyses. Her research topics are systematic review and meta-analysis, network meta-analysis, epidemiology, chronic diseases, evidence based public health, and primary health care research. She applies a wide range of statistical methods to analyse data, including longitudinal and population-based data, in several fields. Her current research interests involve personalized preventive care and life expectancy among elderly, and the efficacy of new anti-diabetics treatments on cardiovascular outcomes. She is also affiliated with the Institute of Primary Health Care (BIHAM) of the University of Bern (Switzerland) and with Cochrane Italy at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy). She also supervises PhD students and young researchers.
