I am a glaciologist working on the mass balance of the Greenland Ice Sheet. I use field measurements, remotely-sensed data and computer models to explore the vulnerability of the Greenland Ice Sheet to climate change. I have particular interests in the manipulation and analysis of large, multi-dimensional datasets.
At Fribourg I am examining the changing runoff limits of the Greenland Ice Sheet to understand how changing surface conditions impact upon ice sheet runoff and the global sea level budget. This work is part of the ERC-funded ‘Cassandra’ project. I also have research interests in the coupled hydrology-dynamics of the Greenland Ice Sheet and bare ice albedo.
