Biography

PD Dr. Christine Schliesser is Director of Studies at the ecumenical Center for Faith and Society of Fribourg University and Senior Lecturer (Privatdozentin) for Systematic Theology and Ethics at Zurich University. She is Research Fellow at the Chair for the Studies of Historical Trauma and Transformation at Stellenbosch University, South Africa.

Her research interests include Public Theology, the theology and ethics of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, peace and reconciliation studies as well as the role of religion in sustainable development (SDGs). Her most recent publication "On the Significance of Religion in Conflict and Conflict Resolution" (Routledge 2021) that she authored together with Ayse S.
