Perina Siegenthaler

Biography

Perina Siegenthaler received her master’s degree with focus on media use and effects at the University of Fribourg. Since May 2017 she is employed as a research assistant within an SNSF-project which focuses on the role of parasocial relationships with media characters, the potential of narrative media formats as well as the effects of emotional experiences in the selection, processing and impact of health-related media communication. Thereby expanding the use of observational methods and deploying psychophysiological and real-time response measurements to indicate the immediate emotional as well as cognitive responses.
