Julia Straub has been appointed full professor of Modern English Literature at the University of Fribourg, starting 1 August 2020. She joins the English Department having previously taught at the University of Bern. In her teaching and research, Prof. Straub will be responsible for English literature from around 1800 to the present day. More information about her academic background, publications, teaching and research projects will follow on the departmental website in due time.
