Environmental Sciences

Students acquire basic knowledge in all fields of environmental sciences with a special focus on the environmental humanities and ethics. It is a valuable addition to any major for students who are interested todays environmental challenges and their ethical implications.

The program is structured into:

  • 12 ECTS: Basic courses in environmental sciences (Environmental Ethics, Ecology, Resources and Environmental Law & Economics)
  • 6 ECTS: Compulsory elective program in Environmental Humanities
  • 3 ECTS: Excursions as part of the seminar “Focal Points of Sustainable Development”
  • 9 ECTS: Electives program (interfaculty courses at UniFR and UniBern)

The program can be started in September or February. It is taught in German and French.
