Spirituality, Mysticism and Prayer in Times of Political Unrest

We have carefully observed the development of the current corona pandemic and have come to the conclusion that the study days from 17-19 June 2020 cannot take place in Fribourg as planned. However, the topic is too important to be sunk.

Instead of the conference in Fribourg, the Study Centre for Faith and Society, in collaboration with the Institute for Ecumenical Studies and the Taizé Community, is making "watch and pray" online to the focus theme for the next two months. The main lectures, selected in-depth presentations from the breakout sessions and some introductions to various forms of prayer will be recorded on video and made available online on a weekly basis from May to the end of June. In addition, a number of dates will be offered where you can talk to the speakers about their presentations in live Internet events. In order to make these resources available to as many people as possible during this challenging time, the above-mentioned contents are to be made available free of charge and for free. Access to the content is provided on our website and by subscribing to the newsletter, which is sent out weekly in May and June.

Normally the study days are held in German, French and English. Unfortunately, this will not be possible online; the content will be prepared in German only. We are sorry about this and thank you for your understanding.
