Historical Document Analysis

Document analysis aims at extracting various type of useful information from raw document images. In the last decade, increasing needs have emerged with the abundant digitization projects related to preservation of the cultural heritage. The analysis of historical document images presents many challenging tasks, that current technologies are not able to solve. The DIVA research group is dealing with historical document analysis for more than 15 years and has become a major scientific contributor worldwide.
