The international conference in the Academy of Stuttgart-Hohenheim (19.-21.7.2019), organized by Dr. Vladimir Latinovic, wanted to encourage and promote the dialogue between Orthodox and Eastern Catholic Churches. During their history these Churches have endured a very complex and at times tense relationship with one another, not just on the theological level, but also in the political context, e.g. in Ukraine. The meeting gathered official representatives of both Christian traditions, as well as theologians and politicians from the different contexts where the tensions are specially strong in order to improve the mutual understanding. Prof. Barbara Hallensleben participated as the first speaker.
