These grants are part of IEA’s programme to promote research on self-government, federalism, intergovernamental relations and territorial minorities. The Institute for Self-Government Studies - Institut d'Estudis de l'Autogovern, IEA is linked to the Government of Catalonia. The Visiting Researchers Grants are meant to promote academic research on Catalonia. We welcome submissions in which Catalonia is either a case-study among others or a single case.

The Institute specifically welcomes comparative research projects in which Catalonia is one among other case-studies either from a qualitative or quantitative perspective.
