LLM - MBA Dual Degree

  • Who is eligible for the Fribourg LLM-EMBA Program?

    The LLM/Executive Programmes dual degree welcomes holders of a degree in law or of another University degree, having least 2 years of professional experience with exposure to legal issues and having occupied a management position.

    The iimt Executive Programmes are designed as a series of modules organised in different subject areas. The Executive MBA (EMBA) consists of 30 modules, the Executive Diploma (DAS) of 20 modules and the Executive Certificate (CAS) of 7 modules. All study programmes can be completed part-time or full-time.     The Fribourg Law Faculty LLM programs allow you to specialize in International Business Law, International Contracts or Compliance through a blend of introductory modules, core modules and final modules, legal clinics and a tailor made Moot Court at the end of each clinic, which represents 22 course weeks in total.

  • Tuition Fees

    The tuition fees for the LLM/Executive Programmes are  :

     

    • LL.M./Executive MBA - CHF 60'500.-
    • LL.M./Executive Diploma - CHF 46'500.-
    • LL.M./Executive CAS - CHF 28'300
    • Deluxe Package * upon request


    *The Deluxe Package includes accommodation in the city centre of Fribourg. For more details please contact us.

    Course fees include course learning material, case studies, and examinations but do not cover transport, accommodation or food. 
    The course fees may be paid in instalments.

    • Fall Semester Intakes

      Registration fee: CHF 1’500.-
      Due date: two weeks from date of admission letter

      1st installment: CHF 4’250.-
      Due date: September 1

      2nd installment: CHF 4’250.-
      Due date: December 1

      3rd installment: CHF 4’250.-
      Due Date: March 1

      4th installment: CHF 4’250.-
      Due date: June 1

    • Spring Semester Intakes

      Registration fee: CHF 1’500.-
      Due date: two weeks from date of admission letter

      1stinstallment: CHF 4’250.-
      Due date: February 1

      2nd installment: CHF 4’250.-
      Due date: May 1

      3rd installment: CHF 4’250.-
      Due date: August 1

      4th installment: CHF 4’250.-
      Due date: November 1

    The fee for supplementary units is CHF 500.- per ECTS credit. Payment is due upon commencement of the unit.

    *1 CHF is approximately equivalent to EUR 0.92, USD 0.98 or GBP 0.61.  

    Application costs

    We do not require upfront payments for the treatment of application files.
    Successful candidates are required to pay an administrative expenses contribution of CHF 150.- to cover the costs of processing and mailing of the admission letters and other admission documents.

    The administrative expenses contribution counts toward the tuition fee but is not refundable.

    Registration fees

    A CHF 1500.- registration fee is due upon registration with the University at the end of your application process.

    The registration fee must be paid in full, including by scholarship students.

    The registration fee counts toward the tuition fee and is only refundable for extraordinary circumstances, duly documented.

     

  • Early Registration

    Discounts of up to 8% of the invoiced tuition fees apply for early payment of the registration and tuition fees:

    • Fall Semester Intakes
      Early Registration Discount
      • 3% of the invoiced tuition fee if the candidate pays the Registration fee before April 31
      Early Payment Discount
      • 5% of the invoiced tuition fee if the candidate pays in one installment before July 31
    • Spring Semester Intakes
      Early Registration Discount
      • 3% of the invoiced tuition fee if the candidate pays the Registration fee before October 31
      Early Payment Discount
      • 5% of the invoiced tuition fee if the candidate pays in one installment before January 31
  • Scholarships

    Excellence Scholarship Program

    The Fribourg Law Excellence Scholarship Program allows us to provide 10 scholarships, each worth CHF 7 000, and 20 scholarships, each worth CHF 5000, for outstanding candidates.

    Scholarships are available to all LLM candidates. The award of a scholarship and the amount thereof will be based on demonstrated academic excellence evidenced notably by:

    • results obtained by the candidate in his/her bachelor's and masters’ degree;
    • motivation proven by the candidate through a letter of intent.

    Regional Scholarship Program

    Our goal is to develop high-level skills while at the same time bridging cultural gaps between lawyers from different countries.

    Bringing students from every corner of the world is paramount to our endeavor. We have already covered more than 90 countries in the world and every year students from new countries join us.

    To achieve this goal, we have relied on the criteria set forth by the United Nations to build a comprehensive support scheme that accounts for the difference in living standards in the world.

    The Regional Scholarship is destined to applicants who are nationals of and reside in developing countries, least developed countries, or countries in transition.

    The Regional Scholarships amount of CHF 8250.- each.
