My doctoral thesis focuses on semantic representations in the bilingual brain, and notably whether the proficiency and the age of acquisition of the second language influence the degree of embodiment of these representations. As a second line of research, I investigate how embodiment might be used to help the rehabilitation of language after stroke. These studies are based on neurostimulation, neuroimaging and clinical approaches.
In parallel to conducting my doctoral thesis, I had a part time activity as speech therapist at the hospital of Fribourg.
