From 7 to 10 November 2018 members of the doctoral programme DE CIVITATE HOMINIS met with researchers from the Orthodox Theological Faculty in Sofia and from the network of students of the "Ostkirchliches Institut Regensburg" in Sofia/Bulgaria. The thematic exchange was focussed on "Autocephaly and Unity". Theologians from numerous countries and churches were present: Switzerland, Bulgaria, Germany, Belgium, Romania, Greece, Macedonia, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Serbia, Czech Republic, Egypt. It turned out that even such a controversial topic as the situation in Ukraine could be discussed in mutual respect and in the striving for reconciliation and church unity.
