The Institute for Ecumenical Studies was represented at the ceremony by a delegation consisting of Prof. Barbara Hallensleben, Prof. em. Guido Vergauwen, Dr Stefanos Athanasiou and Stefan Constantinescu. Cardinal Kurt Koch gave the laudatory speech. Dr. Bernward Kroeger of the Aschendorff-Verlag presented the first German book of the Archbishop: "Mission auf dem Weg Jesu Christi". For the ISO representatives it was a new encounter with Archbishop Anastasios shortly after the study trip to Albania from 1 to 5 February 2020.
