Language and social inequalities, political economy and sociology of language
Led by Prof. Alexandre Duchêne, the research group conducts research in the following areas:
- Role of language in the production of differences and social inequalities
- Social change and language change
- Political economy and linguistic diversity
- Multilingualism and Migration
- Language and power relations
The research projects are anchored in critical sociolinguistics, with an emphasis on ethnographic fieldwork and interactional and discursive data.
