Industrial Relations

The University of Fribourg has five faculties, in addition to several interdisciplinary institutes and competence centres. The results of the research carried out by the 800 professors, lecturers and scientific collaborators offer vast opportunities for technology and knowledge transfer.

As part of its innovation policy, the University actively supports collaborations with private companies and organizations. Research results play a crucial role in the development of new products and are an important driver of the economy.

The Technology and Knowledge Transfer Service - Industrial Relations (KTT-IR) is the contact point for all Swiss and foreign companies wishing to innovate with the University of Fribourg.

Particular importance is given to ensuring that collaboration with industry and the implementation of research results does not hinder:

  • teaching and research, which are the main tasks of the University;
  • academic freedom, which guarantees the independence of research;
  • the freedom to transfer knowledge and technology from the University of Fribourg to civil society outside the legitimate field of use of third parties.

The Technology and Knowledge Transfer Service - Industrial Relations (KTT-IR) is the interface responsible for managing industrial relations.

The service's specialists assess the needs of companies according to their projects, facilitate access to technologies, allow exchanges with researchers and provide legal support.
