The EPFL in its report for the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment called for a better governance of climate engineering technologies. Ivo Wallimann-Helmer comments on the report, criticizing that it does not pose the question why these technologies are discussed. Furthermore, discussions of the governance of climate engineering technologies have to take place on the global, as well as the local level.
