The 12^th International Conference FCTA has recently awarded two researchers of the Faculty. Indeed, Dr Rédina Berkachy and Prof. Laurent Donzé won the “Best Student Paper Award” in submitting and presenting a paper entitled “Fuzzy Confidence Intervals by the Likelihood Ratio with Bootstrapped Distribution”.
FCTA (Fuzzy Computation Theory and Application), part of IJCCI (International Joint Conference on Computational Intelligence), is a major conference in the field of fuzzy computation. Theory and applications of fuzzy sets and fuzzy logic appear more and more appealing in computational intelligence with applications in a large range of domains. The paper presented gives a new way to construct fuzzy intervals in using likelihood ratios, extended so the possibilities of fuzzy inferences.
