    Description Topics of the course are:
    - manufacturing of ceramics
    - powder technology
    - shaping and sintering of ceramics
    - microstrustures
    - structural ceramics, mechanic properties
    - thermal properties
    - electric properties, piezo-, ferro- and dielectric ceramics
    - optoceramics
    Training objectives Modern technology relies strongly on high performance solid materials potential applications dictate the choice of the material, manufacturing techniques as well as the economics. The participants will learn to tailor ceramic materials for certain applications based on their properties, costs and manufacturing constrains.
