    Description Participants will get the theoretical and practical tools needed to sample and analyse particulate matter and to use such data to assess the impact on the environment (climate, health etc.).
    Training objectives Minerals are the primary constituents of the solid Earth (geosphere). At the surface, they are in contact with and, if small enough, may be transferred into the hydro-, atmos- and biosphere, where they are, together with antropogenic particles, important players in processes that affect among others climate and human health. After introducing the special properties of micro- and nanoparticles, the course will focus on sources, transport and environmental impact of atmospheric and water suspended particles. Special attention will be given to the interaction of such particles with the biosphere and their impact on human health.
