Description This course describes central issues of developmental programmes involved in embryogenesis, root, shoot, and flower development. The emphasis will be on hormonal control of morphogenesis and pattern formation, and on the determinants of organ identity.
Training objectives This course will provide you with an in depth insight in plant-specific mechanisms involved in patterning and cell differentiation. You will see that proper scientific approaches can result in conflicting evidence, and you will be able to critically evaluate contradictory scientific evidence. You will know how to formulate a hypothesis, how to choose the appropriate methods to test it, and you will have acquired presentation skills necessary for the presentation of a scientific work at a conference.
