Description	This block course given during the first week of the Fall semester teaches basic knowledge in data management and analysis using the Excel software. It is intended for all students starting their MSc in Biology and includes a short general introduction on administrative aspects.
Training objectives	The course is divided in 3 sessions of 3 hours each: Session 1 - Generals introduction and administrative aspects of the Master in Biology - Basic computation in excel - Mean and standard deviation - Histogram and bar graph Session 2 - Population and sample - Standard error and 95 confidence interval - Bar graph with “error” bars - Log scale Session 3 Introduction to statistical test: t-test and ANOVA
