    Description

    Angststörungen gehören zu den psychischen Störungen mit den höchsten Prävalenzraten. Sie entwickeln sich häufig schon in der Kindheit und neigen unbehandelt zur Persistenz, sind aber psychotherapeutisch in vielen Fällen gut behandelbar. Die Forschung zur Entstehung und Behandlung von Angst hat sich dabei in den letzten Jahren weiter ausdifferenziert. So wurde einerseits mit der Erforschung des Extinktionslernens eine translationale Perspektive gestärkt, bei der Gemeinsamkeiten der Angst von Menschen und der unserer Verwandten im Tierreich im Vordergrund stehen. Auf der anderen Seite wurden z.B. über die Schematherapie nun auch Konzepte in die kognitive Verhaltenstherapie aufgenommen, die der Psychoanalyse entlehnt sind. Zudem wurden neue Behandlungsansätze etwa mit Hilfe der Virtuellen Realität erfolgreich angewendet. In diesem Seminar werden wir uns einen Überblick über diese unterschiedlichen Strömungen in der Erforschung und Behandlung von Angst verschaffen und den jeweiligen Nutzen für klinische Patientengruppen diskutieren.
