    Description

The goal of this course is to familiarize students with novel technologies in the context of digitalization and information systems and enable them to apply and evaluate these technologies in small practical business scenarios. This includes the use of enterprise modeling methods, software environments as well as programming languages.

The course will comprise units with:

    - Theoretical explanations of technologies and enterprise modeling methods used for digitalization
    - Practical exercises for using the technologies
    - Project work for applying the technologies to concrete use cases

The technologies will be selected based on the current research topics of the DIGITS group and may include for example: IT-based enterprise modeling methods, blockchains, visualization and virtual/augmented reality, device-less interaction, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, additive manufacturing.

    Course requirements:
For this course, basic programming and conceptual modeling skills on the level taught in the Wirtschaftsinformatik I&II bachelor courses of the DIGITS group are required.
