IT Strategy Committee

Tasks and Responsibilities

The IT Strategy Committee, subject to the competences of the Rectorate, has the following responsibilities:

  1. drawing up, jointly with the IT Services Department, the University's strategic IT guidelines and submitting them to the Rectorate for approval;
  2. overseeing the application of IT governance processes on behalf of the Rectorate;
  3. participating, jointly with the IT Services Department, in the development of guidelines specifically related to the provision of IT services to the university community;
  4. supporting and supervising the preparation of the IT budget, approving it and submitting it to the Rectorate for information;
  5. providing, at the request of the Rectorate, an opinion on IT matters requiring a decision by the Rectorate;
  6. to arbitrate, on behalf of the Rectorate, in the event of disagreement between the university community and the IT Services Department;
  7. keeping the IT Services Department abreast of technological trends within the university community;
  8. keep minutes of the Committee's meetings and incorporate the Committee's key decisions into the DIT's annual report.

In principle, the Committee meets every two months. The secretariat is provided by the IT Services Department.
